MOVIES TO LOOK OUT FOR IN 2010

I know every year one of the first few things I do is to look into the movie calendar and see what hits are coming out this year. Well last year was not a bad year. There are many memorable movies like Zombieland, Avatar, Star Trek, Inglorious Basterds, Aliens vs Monsters, GI Joe, Sherlock Holmes, and 2012. And there are also the so so ones that is cool but somehow disappointing like Transformers; Revenge of the Fallen (great actions but very very poor plot and flow), Terminator Salvation (too much expectation), Angels & Demons (prefer the book), District 9 and X-men Origins; Wolverine (just not satisfied). And the worse of the years like Street Fighter; Legend of Chun Li (Bad choice of casts!!! and freaking poor story line!!), Outlander (Beowulf??) and I love you Beth Cooper (why?? geeks are so easy to be picked on? boring la). Honestly I only watched this few movies a year...

Anyway lets hope that this year will be a good movie year.. lets see what movie can we expect. The most anticipated movie of course would be Iron Man 2

Only thing that is kinda disappointing is that Terence Howard wont reprise his role as Lt Col James Rhodes. But on the other hand... Don Cheadle took over. Kinda hate it when they change the cast for sequels... but then again wut the heck... it looks good.

Next, I am kinda blown away with this trailer... Clash of the Titans

Starring Sam Worthington (again)... whats with this fella.. up coming superstar eh? its basically clash of the GREEK mythology titans. Kinda cool... Zeus, Medusa, Perseus and Hades... what else u wan?!! Liam Neeson as Zeus hmmmm... Ralph Fiennes as Hades? hmmm... another Voldermort role? but the trailer looks stunning... looking forward to it..

Next is Robin Hood... well for me is more like Robin Hood Begins ahhaha... No its not like the Kevin Costner's one or the Cary Elwes ones.. This one tells about how Sir Robin of Loxley, Earl of Sir Robin of Loxley, Earl of Huntington became Robin Hood. But to cast Russell Crowe as Robin Hood... abit old for how Robin Hood begins.... hehe. But then again the Gladiator package is back Ridley Scott and Russel Crowe... should be a cool epic... Gladiator 2? hehe

Then this one I am looking forward but kinda skeptical... Prince of Persia... Kinda weird that they cast Jake Gyllenhaal a Swedish descent Jewish actor to play a Persian prince role... hmmm. But again... looks kinda interesting.

The animation of ... Shrek 4...ever after... wonder will it be good... the 2nd one was abit stale...

and Toy Story 3... 10 years after their last sequel...

Few other movies that looks interesting is A-Team. Those that grew up in the 80s and early 90s will know this series. But this time they made it into a movie and the cast is kinda interesting.

This is the old A-Team

But the new A-Team will consists of Liam Neeson as Hannibal, Badley Cooper as Face, Sharlto Copley as Murdock and Quinton Jackson as BA Baracus.

Then Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter in Alice in Wonderland? hmmmmm... now that we look at it... the person who wrote Alice in Wonderland sounds like he/she was high on some drugs while writing this... really creepy.... then again... here is the trailer...

And last but not least is Gulliver's Travel... yes that old story we used to read and watch... starring Jack Black as Gulliver. hmmm interesting... other that all this movies... I hope this year will have many pleasant surprises like Zombieland, Sherlock Holmes and Star Trek.
